Training Objective
Course Aim
The aim of the Advanced Upset Prevention Recovery Training is to amplify knowledge and skills in upset
prevention and especially upset recovery, with the final objective of exposing students to the psychological
and physiological aspects usually experienced during a dynamic upset. A course completion certificate is
issued at the end of the training.
The advanced UPRT course includes at least 5 hours of theoretical instruction and at least 3 hours of dual
flight instruction in an airplane. The program is intended to strengthen resilience in the face of stress,
disorientation, and rapid attitude changes.
Class- or type-related UPRT during class or type rating training addresses the specific characteristics of
the relevant class or type of airplane.
